January 2021 - Special Speaker Series for TGSS Initiated

Usually, our cohorts of monastics use the academic breaks to relax and travel around the country.  Unfortunately, Cohort 5 has been unable to take advantage of this during the continued pandemic. In order to keep the scholars engaged during the winter break, Dr. Jane O’Connor, ETSI English Faculty Leader, from the English Language Learning Program (ELLP), organized a series of speakers to talk to the monastics about a wide and diverse range of exciting topics.  Speakers included staff and faculty from the Center for the Study of Human Health, the Writing Program and the Office for Undergraduate Education (OUE). Speakers and monastics greatly enjoyed both the dialog and mutual learning opportunity. ETSI is deeply grateful to Dr. O’Connor and the presenters for their time in putting together their presentations as well as the talks.
